On March 21st, Strays HH volunteers were invited to
the Winston Campus Elementary School in Palatine
and speak to the Make A Difference Club headed by
Cynthia Padilla, a volunteer mom. The
students are from grades 3 to 6, and decided that
they wanted their generous efforts to go to the
many foster cats of Strays HH. The children
collected warm cuddly receiving blankets for the
little kittens, towels, cat and kitten food, bowls,
dishes and toys. After watching a short
movie, many of the children talked about their
personal animals, asked many questions and then
learned about all the care that goes into bottle
feeding kittens that have no moms and keeping the
animals in foster homes until they are
adopted. The children were all sent home with
information on the importance of spaying and
neutering their animals and the importance of
microchipping. This is the third year that
this wonderful club has helped Strays HH with their
donations and concern to help. Our thanks
goes out to all of them!
