The first official Bark In The Park Event in Aurora, sponsored by the Fox Valley Animal Welfare League, was held on June 24th from 12pm to 4pm at the Lincoln Park Dog Park in Aurora. The event was a lot of fun and a big success.  Attended by Strays HH and many other animal rescue groups, the 4 hour event had delicious food, demonstrations, and a lot of cute events for any of the animals to participate in.  Starting with a Blessing of the animals, the contests began.  Dogs tried their best in the longest kiss contest, the best smile, the best owner pet look alikes, just to name a few.  Mother nature could have been alittle cooler in her temperature, but everyone made sure their animals were well sheltered from the sun and cooled with alot of water.  Thanks to all that attended!
