2006 is a very special year for Strays Halfway House. On December 3rd, Strays Halfway House was very proud to not only have held their 15th Holiday Party but also to have celebrated their 25th Anniversary. Through the years SHH has gone through many regroups and changes, but has kept the stamina and endurance to continue on with their mission of rescuing and adopting out stray and/or abandoned animals. Our party this year was held at the beautiful Villa Olivia Country Club in Bartlett, where everyone enjoyed their delicious meal and the great entertainment provided by DJ Don Esposito. Our silent auction was a huge success, not only allowing people to do a little christmas shopping, but also in the fact that all of the items were donated by many generous restaurants, stores and companies. This is important as it allows all of the monies collected to be used for the care and medical treatment of our foster animals. We want to thank the many generous people that attended and also those that could not, but were gracious enough to still send in a contribution. It takes alot of hard work to continue on each day, but with the help of our volunteers, foster homes, our board and a generous public that cares, Strays HH hopes to celebrate many more anniversaries. Thank you all once again for opening your hearts to our animals and Strays Halfway House would like to wish all of you a very happy and healthy new year.
