On September 18th, 2011, Strays HH was proud to be able to celebrate their 30th year of saving stray and abandoned animals. It was in 1981, that Sharon and Don Gawlik and Belinda and Don Olsen, then strangers, met and had the same idea of rescuing stray cats and dogs, that were unfortunately being euthanized. Since then, we have been extremely fortunate to have supporters that have allowed us to continue to foster, adopt out and of course pay the ever climbing medical bills for over 13,000 animals. A "birthday bash" was held at Villa Olivia in Bartlet, where good food, great music by DJ's Don & Brian Esposito and guitarist Glen Murschel, dancing and a silent auction were enjoyed by all. A huge "Thank You" to all that attended and helping us raise more money, and to the foster homes that make rescuing the animals possible.
